Nadeen School makes children shine! The management are so personally and emotionally invested in the children and school it really does feel like a family. This school is a real gem. There is a wonderful family/community atmosphere throughout the school.

It feels like family!

Love that it's a small school that pays attention to detail. It is unique to any other schools in Bahrain and that's why we love Nadeen. Nurturing and caring.

Yes! The school environment, it feels like home away from home. This is the perfect school for all of those families that relocate.

I love the open door policy. All teachers and management are so approachable and are genuinely interested with our thoughts. Even our children are asked their opinions. I know my own daughter pops to see the Head Teacher and Shanee with her ideas.

All of it! All the staff are so happy, it's contagious! Kids can't help but be happy!

The holistic approach to a child. The fact, that my child is a respected and growing in his confidence individual, who feels free to explore in the most stimulating ways. I know that my children feel loved and respected at school. They both have extraordinary teachers, who inspire them to aim high, and to be better people. They hate being sick and will do anything to get well, only to be back at school. They are eager to be back from their holidays...Priceless.

We really like the community feel of the school. Everyone from admin to teachers care about all the children and children are very well taken care of. Kids feel safe physically and emotionally which is very important for their learning.

I particularly like that at Nadeen School it is a friendly, nurturing and caring school environment; it doesn't feel like a clinical / industrial feeling as many bigger schools. The students are recognised by their names and treated as individuals. The school has a homely, family friendly feeling which shows through in the positive and open relationships between staff, parents and students.

Child and family centered all the way. And all the extras are great - the gardens, farm with the chickens and ducks, the way they encourage the kids to start businesses and think in a creative way, the way the kids are involved in everything the school does.

The child-centred holistic approach, topic-based learning, green and family minded character of the school. At Nadeen, our children get the chance to still be children while still making fantastic progress in their curriculum. We also strongly support the homework and evaluation policy. Last but not least, a very passionate teaching and administrative staff who make sure the teaching stays up-to-date in an ever evolving world. Keep up the fantastic work!

The "we are family" motto

Please be advised that there are many web sites detailing information about schools in Bahrain, and that this is the only official web site for Nadeen School

Nadeen School, established in 1978, is a Primary School, consisting of Pre-School, Infant, and Junior sections, with classes from Pre-Nursery through to Year 6. Children attend the school from 2-11 years of age. We follow the English National Curriculum, and supplement our activities and learning with different schemes and resources from Australia, New Zealand, the USA, and elsewhere. We are, along with only one other English National Curriculum school in Bahrain, an acredited member of the British Schools of the Middle East (BSME) association and a registered British School Overseas (BSO), recognised by the UK Department for Education Click here for more information about the British Schools of the Middle East: Please read our most recent BSO report here

We currently have 400 children enrolled in the school from 51 countries, and the mix of children creates a happy atmosphere where different cultures mix and learn from each other. We have over 50 full time staff and additional part-time and support staff mainly from the UK, Ireland, America, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.

Our class work is mostly topic/theme based with a strong emphasis placed on language, expression, imagination, art, and music. History, Geography, Art-and-Craft, and Science and Technology are incorporated into these centers of interest, as well as taught separately. Music, Drama, PE, and Library are in the weekly syllabus for all children. The children are taught in whole-class, group, and individual sessions.

We have a strong Learning Support Department which works with children who need extra support with mathematics, language, literacy, and reading.
