Dear Nadeen Family,
As always, it has been a busy and productive week at Nadeen!
We have now reached the end of our Box for Goodness initiative, a wonderful demonstration of our Concern for Society. Led by Ms. Suzanne, this effort saw our secondary learners actively involved in packing the boxes, with our Duke of Edinburgh learners playing a particularly engaged role. Giving to those less fortunate is a value we deeply cherish, and I am incredibly proud of our community for coming together to support this cause. A huge thank you to everyone who contributed! #Kindness
I would also like to extend my appreciation to the Year 9 parents who attended the Next Steps for Our Options Process presentation. It was an informative session, and I am pleased that we are expanding our curriculum with a greater number of option subjects, ensuring broader opportunities for our learners. Lots of exciting learning ahead!
This week, I also want to take a moment to reflect on something that affects us all, our use of technology. This has been a hot topic in multiple discussions, including those raised by some of you as parents. While we follow MOE policies regarding device use in learning and embrace being a Google School, we must also be mindful of integrating technology into our lives in a healthy and balanced way. As a first step, we are making our Café a tech-free zone, a space dedicated to collaboration, conversation, and genuine interaction. I know this may be a challenge, myself included, but I also see it as an opportunity for growth.
Additionally, in response to parent feedback, we are trialing a new approach to communication to reduce the number of emails you receive. Your input is invaluable, so please continue sharing your thoughts with the PTA Friends of Nadeen to help us refine this further.
We understand that next year’s school fee increase has raised questions and concerns. Parent feedback is extremely important to us, and your comments are always welcome and valued. To provide more clarity, I invite all interested parents to join us on Thursday, 3rd April at 8:15 AM for a presentation on the recent fees announcement. This session will offer insights into the reasons behind this decision, including operational costs, staffing, educational resources, and the running of our new campus. For seating and catering purposes, please RSVP by completing this form if you plan to attend. A follow-up email will also be sent to all parents after the meeting.
Finally, I want to wish Hein the very best as he heads to Turkey for Olympic swim training – an incredible achievement! We are all cheering you on!
Please keep an eye on official news sources for the announcement of Eid. If the first day of Eid is Sunday, school will be closed on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday; if the first day of Eid is Monday, school will be closed on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Thank you for your attention to this, and we appreciate your understanding.
Wishing you all a fantastic weekend and Eid Mubarak.

Weekly Communication Updates
Following last week’s trial of our streamlined communication, designed to make information more accessible, we are pleased to introduce the new interactive, newsletter-style portal for all year groups across the school. Going forward, the links to these newsletters will be included here, consolidating key messages into a single weekly update while allowing you easy access to information relevant to your child’s year group.

We hope this new approach makes it easier for you to stay informed and find the information you need. As always, we welcome your feedback.
In addition, this is a friendly reminder for parents to log in to the iSAMS Parent Portal. Last week, login details were sent to all parents. As future invoices will be accessible through the portal, it is important that you can access your account. If you have not received your login details, please contact our ICT Department at [email protected].
