Mr. James’ Weekly Reflection – 15 January 2025

Dear Nadeen Family,

This week has been a powerful reminder of what makes Nadeen such a special community: collaboration, care, and a shared commitment to doing what is right for our learners.

I would like to begin by recognising Mr. Matt and his entire PE team for their exceptional work in delivering Friday’s BSME event. It was a fantastic showcase of organisation, teamwork, and learner engagement, and a real credit to the school. Opportunities like this allow our learners to shine beyond the classroom, and it would be wonderful to involve some of the learners in celebrating this success with us. I would also like to wish the team heading to Abu Dhabi for the BSME events the very best of luck. You will be amazing, and we are incredibly proud to have you representing Nadeen.

Our Maths Around Me Inclusion Workshop was another highlight of the week. It provided a valuable opportunity to strengthen inclusive practice and connect meaningfully with our THRIVE programme, reinforcing how learning, wellbeing, and real-world application are most powerful when intentionally aligned. The thoughtful discussions and shared strategies reflected our collective commitment to ensuring every learner feels confident, supported, and successful.

This week also marked a significant milestone for our secondary learners as they undertook their mock examinations. This is a big moment in Nadeen’s journey and a reflection of how far the school has come and the ambition we hold for our learners’ futures. The maturity, focus, and resilience demonstrated by our learners throughout this process has been impressive, and they should feel incredibly proud of themselves.

I also thoroughly enjoyed the THRIVE road safety session this week. It was a great example of learning at its best, rich thinking, collaboration, raised awareness, and plenty of fun. Experiences like this help our learners grow not only academically, but as thoughtful, responsible members of society.

Finally, I look forward to seeing many of you at the Beach Clean-Up on Saturday at 10am at Amwaj Beach. This is a wonderful opportunity to come together as a community, model social responsibility, and live our values beyond the school gates.

Weeks like this remind us that while we strive for excellence every day, it is our shared purpose, strong relationships, and care for one another that truly define Nadeen.

Thank you, as always, for your energy, commitment, and belief in what we are building together.
