Our recent Celebrations of Learning have once again proven to be a vibrant display of our learners’ creativity, collaboration, and dedication to learning. These events, firmly rooted in the principles of HPL and the Nadeen Way, are moments where our learners, parents, and teachers come together to celebrate every step of the learning journey. Each year group brought its unique flavor to the celebrations, creating memories that will last a lifetime.
Year 1: Art & DT Challenge – A Parent and Child Adventure
In Year 1, creativity took center stage as our youngest learners embarked on an Art and Design Technology challenge. The highlight of the session was a fun filled parent and child challenge, where families worked together to create imaginative pirate ships using a variety of materials. The event perfectly encapsulated the Nadeen Way; encouraging exploration, hands-on learning, and the importance of community collaboration.
Year 2: A Collaborative Exhibition of Creativity
Year 2 embraced the spirit of teamwork by hosting an exhibition that invited both learners and parents to contribute actively. Attendees participated in building a house of straw and a house of marshmallows (it was very tempting not to just eat the marshmallows!), an activity that not only showcased the learner’s creative talents but also reinforced the values of HPL. This interactive experience celebrated learning through collaboration and innovation, hallmarks of our approach.
Year 3: Journey Back in Time with Ancient Egypt
Ancient history came vividly to life in Year 3. The learners transformed their classroom into an immersive Ancient Egyptian exhibition, complete with interactive stations and role playing. One of the most memorable moments was when learners playfully “mummified” their parents, a maverick twist that added both humour and engagement to the day. This event brilliantly combined education with playful fun, inviting everyone to step back in time and explore the wonders of the ancient world.
Year 4: Art Gallery Inspired by Local Studio Visit
Following an inspiring trip to a local art studio and the visit of an artist, Year 4 celebrated the power of artistic expression with their very own art gallery. The exhibition featured a diverse collection of artworks created by the learners, highlighting both their technical skills and creative insights. Parents and community members enjoyed an elegant display of talent and passion, a true reflection of the innovative spirit encouraged by HPL and the Nadeen Way.

Year 5: Fairground Exhibition – A Carnival of Creativity
Year 5 turned the celebration into a lively fairground exhibition, where the air was filled with excitement and innovation. With displays that mimicked the thrill of a fair, learners showcased projects that blended academic learning with creative design. The fairground atmosphere, enjoyed by parents and learners alike, was a dynamic demonstration of how our community comes together to make learning fun and engaging.
Year 6: Myths, Legends, and Independent Exploration
Year 6 captured the imagination of both learners and parents by delving into myths and legends from around the world. The presentations were nothing short of captivating. Learners spoke confidently, sharing fascinating stories that many parents had never heard before. The home learning projects on display were a testament to the learners’ impressive enquiry skills and independent planning. This initiative truly embodies the HPL ethos, showcasing thoughtful analysis and creativity, along with the power of the Nadeen Way to inspire lifelong learning.
A Celebration of Community and Learning
These events have truly embodied the spirit of our school community. They have provided an opportunity not only to showcase the hard work and talent of our learners but also to foster closer collaboration between learners, parents, and teachers. Every activity was a reminder of the power of creative thinking, the importance of community, and the joy of sharing our learning journeys together.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone involved; from the enthusiastic learners and dedicated teachers to the supportive parents who joined us in celebrating these wonderful achievements. Together, we continue to build a vibrant community where learning is celebrated every day, in true HPL fashion and in the inspiring spirit of the Nadeen Way.
Let’s keep the momentum going as we look forward to many more creative and inspiring moments in our future Celebrations of Learning!
