Mr. James Weekly Reflection -27th February

Dear Nadeen Family,

Ramadan Kareem to all in our community. This sacred time of reflection, kindness, and togetherness reminds us of the values we hold dear at Nadeen School.

It has been a truly wonderful week, with the highlight undoubtedly being our TeachMeet 2025. This event was incredibly special, not just because of the insightful discussions and workshops, but because of the shared commitment we all have to shaping the educational landscape. Regardless of which school we serve, we come together for one reason: to provide the very best for our children. This is why our theme, “Educating with Purpose: Mind, Body, and Heart,” resonates so deeply.

At Nadeen, we are on a mission to grow in heart (Community/Kindness), mind (Learning/Curiosity), and body (Strength/Well-being). This approach is essential if we are to truly prepare our learners for the complexities of the world beyond the classroom. Events like TeachMeet are invaluable, allowing us to step away from our daily routines to reflect, engage in meaningful discussions, and challenge ourselves as educators.

A huge thank you to Ms. Emma for her dedication in organising this event and to our fantastic speakers and workshop hosts who made it so enriching.

Beyond TeachMeet, it has been an eventful week across the school:

    • Year 1 explored the Marassi Aquarium, sparking their curiosity about marine life.
    • Years 5 and 6 embarked on their Eco-Venture trip, learning about sustainability in action.
    • Years 9 and 10 took part in university visits, gaining insight into their future pathways.
    • A group of learners had a very cool experience at Radio Bahrain, seeing the world of media in action.
    • A special thank you to Mr. Chris and Ms. Noora for leading an inclusion presentation, and to all the parents who attended and engaged in these important discussions.

As we step into Ramadan, we look forward to a number of meaningful events, including fundraising initiatives, acts of service, and our Gergaoun Evening on Thursday, 6th March, from 7:30 PM to 10:00 PM. These moments allow us to come together as a community, celebrate our values, and make a difference.

Wishing you all a peaceful and blessed Ramadan.
