Mr James’ Weekly Reflection: 30 April
Dear Nadeen Family,
As we approach the end of another eventful week at Nadeen School, I’d like to take a moment to share some reflections and exciting updates with you.
Firstly, with Labour Day tomorrow, we pause to express our heartfelt appreciation for the dedication and hard work of our entire staff. Their unwavering commitment to nurturing, educating, and inspiring our learners is the cornerstone of everything we do, and we are deeply grateful for their efforts every single day.
This week has also seen the continuation of our learner conferences, providing valuable opportunities for learners, families, and teachers to connect, reflect, and set goals together. Thank you to everyone involved for your time, honesty, and support.
A significant milestone occurred yesterday, 365 days until our first iGCSE exams! This marks the beginning of an exciting countdown, and we look forward to supporting our learners on every step of their journey toward this important achievement.
In Primary, our brilliant Learner Leaders launched a wonderful new initiative this week – a book swap! Learners are invited to bring in a pre-loved book from home and exchange it for something new to read. It’s been heartwarming to see the joy this simple act of sharing has sparked. Meanwhile, rehearsals for our end-of-year shows are officially underway, and the excitement is building! We can’t wait to see our learners shine on stage as they prepare to showcase their talents.
As you know we love a dress up day at Nadeen. Today is Pyjama Day, and the community went all out with our learners coming to school in their cosiest attire and all for a good cause. Some of our staffing PJ’s – All I can say is wow! We’ll be collecting donations for the Bahrain Animal Rescue Centre (BARC) to help support the incredible work they do. Every dinar will make a difference to the lives of animals in need. It’s a wonderful way to give back and have some fun along the way!
We are also excited to host our Wellness Fair tomorrow, which opens at 2:00pm, with workshops beginning at 2:30pm. Please note that there will be no parking at or near the school, so we kindly ask all families and guests to use the Dilmunia Mall parking and walk over to the school campus. The event promises to be a celebration of wellbeing, with a fantastic line-up of service providers offering activities, resources, and workshops for all ages. Personally, I’m especially looking forward to the Tai Chi session. Who’s joining me? Pauline? Shanee? Maybe Mr. Paul? And I hope you’ve all signed up for the Wellness Race, which will begin at 5:00pm at the main entrance of the school. It’s a great way to finish the day with energy, movement, and a shared sense of fun and community.
