Dear Nadeen Family,

Well done to Miguel, Demir and Sophia for Top 6 finishes and congratulations to Talal and Kate, our Players of the Squad!
Our entrepreneurial spirit was also on full display as our Year 3 learners organised their chocolate truffle sale, demonstrating creativity, teamwork and confidence. It is always inspiring to see our learners applying their skills in real-world contexts and embracing opportunities with enthusiasm.
We were thrilled to host TeachMeet 5: The AI Edition, a dynamic gathering where educators came together to explore the rapidly evolving role of artificial intelligence in education. Building on the foundations of the TeachMeet Bahrain series, which began with TeachMeet 1 in February 2024 at Nadeen School. This event continued our mission to share practice, inspire professional growth, and foster a culture of collaborative learning.
Guided by AI Transformation Leader Luis I. Cortes, discussions framed AI in both a global and regional context, while keeping what matters most front and centre: how technology can enhance learning without replacing the human relationships, judgement, and care that define great education. The conversations were rich, thought-provoking, and a powerful reflection of our High Performance Learning journey with developing learners who are adaptable, reflective, and confident in navigating an ever-changing world.
Following this, our Eco Summit, in collaboration with the Bahrain Sustainability Schools Partnership (BSSP), showcased the power of learner voice, environmental responsibility, and collective action. A heartfelt thank you to Ms. Emma, her team, and our learners for their dedication and exceptional leadership. The level of organisation, passion, and authenticity on display was exceptional. Watching our students confidently engage with real-world sustainability challenges reminded us that the future is in capable, compassionate hands.
Importantly, the drive towards sustainability and meaningful eco projects at Nadeen is not a one-off event. It is a growing movement within our school. Developing a culture of environmental responsibility is a key priority for us, and you will see this work expand over the months ahead through new initiatives, learner-led projects, and deeper integration across our curriculum. This aligns directly with our High Performance Learning ambition: nurturing globally aware, ethically driven young people who think critically, act responsibly, and understand their role in shaping a better world.
Another standout moment was our Thrive Workshop. A big thank you to those of you who took the time to join us. We hope the session provided a clear and meaningful insight into how the Thrive Programme supports emotional regulation, resilience, and self-belief, which are the essential foundations for high performance. When learners feel safe, understood, and empowered, they are able to flourish academically and personally.
We wrapped up the week with our much-loved annual International Food Fair, and what a celebration it was. The energy, colour, and sense of belonging were truly special. Thank you for the time, care, and generosity you showed in making the day such a success. Celebrating the diversity and rich culture of our community is something we cherish deeply, and it reflects our belief that inclusion and belonging are fundamental to excellence. We are already looking forward to making next year’s event even bigger and more vibrant.
Finally, I am delighted to announce the launch of ‘The Arabic Stories Digital Library’, an innovative and forward-thinking initiative from our Arabic Department designed to further strengthen our culture of reading and academic excellence. The platform offers a carefully curated collection of Arabic stories tailored to learners’ varying interests and proficiency levels. Learners are encouraged to engage with at least one story per week, followed by a structured reflection task to deepen comprehension, enhance written expression, and strengthen critical thinking skills.
The library will continue to grow through regular updates, ensuring fresh, engaging, and high-quality content. This initiative supports independent learning, advances language development, and reinforces cultural identity, all key components of our strategic vision and High Performance Learning framework. You will hear more from Ms. Zenab after the half-term break.
Please also save the date for our Gergaoun celebration on Thursday, 28th February at 8pm. We look forward to enjoying this special occasion together.
As we now move into the half-term break, I wish you all a restful and enjoyable time with your families. We cannot wait to see what your Nadeen Bear is up to during the break, please do share your adventures with us.
