This week at Nadeen | 26 February 2026

Dear Nadeen family
The school is buzzing once again with energy and purpose, and it is a joy to see our learners back in action. It has been wonderful to welcome everyone back after the half term break. The corridors are alive again with chatter, laughter and lots of learning in full swing!
A very warm welcome as well to our new families who have joined us this term. We are delighted to have you as part of the Nadeen community and we’re so glad you’re here! As always, my door is open. I value open dialogue and encourage you to reach out at any time to share ideas, ask questions or simply say hello.
In the spirit of partnership and continuous improvement, we have organised a short survey to gather your feedback. We would greatly appreciate you taking a few minutes to tell us what we are doing well and where we can improve. Your insights are invaluable as we work together to make Nadeen the best school for your child.
This week, our Year 6 learners proudly celebrated their recent unit on legends and mythical creatures, and what a magical showcase it was! Throughout the project, they demonstrated strong curiosity and creativity, researching characters and their origins before collaboratively writing and performing their own scripts. In doing so, they applied key Advanced Cognitive Performance characteristics such as linking ideas, analysing information and creating original outcomes. There may or may not have been a few dragons spotted roaming the classrooms…
Their artistic work was equally impressive. From making salt dough from scratch to sculpting and painting their own mythical creatures with great care and detail, learners showed focus, perseverance and real pride in their progress. The results were truly something to behold!
I also wanted to share a very special highlight from today and a big thank you to Iris in Year 1 who came to proudly show me her writing. As a real treat, she read the first of her four pages to me! Iris, you are amazing. Moments like this remind us why we do what we do. I have seen so much progress in writing across Primary since the start of the term, which has been wonderful to see. Well done, Team Primary: your hard work is shining through!
As we enter Ramadan, I would like to sincerely thank you for your generosity towards our A Box of Goodness initiative. We are grateful for the donations already received and encourage families to continue contributing non-perishable items throughout the month. With your support, we hope to exceed last year’s total and provide even more food supplies to families in need and small acts of kindness can make a big difference.
A reminder that from Sunday we will be celebrating Book Week. Book Week is about far more than costumes; it is about fostering a lifelong love of reading and nurturing the thinkers, dreamers and creators of tomorrow. Through stories, themed activities and shared reading experiences, learners expand their vocabulary, develop comprehension and ignite their imagination. We are pleased that the Book Mart will be joining us in school, offering a diverse range of books for you to explore together.
Tonight, we look forward to coming together for our annual Gergaoun celebration. It promises to be a special, family-friendly occasion filled with smiles, traditions and togetherness, and we are excited to share it with our Nadeen community.
Thank you, as always, for your continued support and partnership.
