This week at Nadeen | 21 March 2026
Dear Nadeen Family
As we come to the end of what has been a rather unusual Term 2, I wanted to take a moment to reflect and, most importantly, to thank you for your continued support, understanding and partnership during these past few weeks.
Despite the disruption of the last three weeks, this has truly been a term filled with incredible moments of learning, achievement and community spirit across Nadeen, the very essence of The Nadeen Way.
We began January by hosting the BSME Netball Tournament for the first time in our history, an incredibly proud moment for the school. It was a resounding success and firmly placed Nadeen on the map, with the exciting prospect of hosting again next year. Our learners have also represented the school with pride across the region and, across every competition, demonstrated resilience, teamwork and sportsmanship, qualities that define Nadeen beyond the results themselves.
We also celebrated Nadeen’s 48th birthday, a moment to reflect on our history while looking forward with ambition and purpose. It was a joyful reminder of how far we have come and the strong, values-driven community we continue to build together.

We were proud to host the Eco Summit in collaboration with the Bahrain Sustainability Schools Partnership, an inspiring event that highlighted learner leadership, environmental responsibility and the power of collective action.Â
Academically, it has also been a significant term. Our Year 11 learners completed their first GCSE mock examinations and it was a genuine joy to see the results they achieved alongside the pride and confidence reflected in their smiles. The focus, maturity and determination shown by our learners throughout the term have been commendable.
This term has also been rich in community experiences and events. We have loved welcoming families into school and sharing a range of wonderful moments together, including our much-loved International Food Fair, a vibrant celebration of the diversity and rich cultures that make up our Nadeen community. It was a wonderful reminder that Nadeen is not only a school, but a place where traditions, backgrounds and stories are shared and valued. My personal favourite was our Gergaoun celebrations, which truly captured the spirit, joy and cultural connection of our community.
Alongside this, we hosted a series of highly informative and insightful parent workshops across Primary, Secondary and Inclusion, strengthening our shared understanding and partnership in supporting every learner.
It has also been inspiring to see our wider community in action, with staff going above and beyond, not only in supporting learning but also in their own personal achievements. Congratulations to those who took part in the Bahrain Marathon, Half Marathon and the Burj2Burj race in Dubai.
Over the past three weeks of virtual learning, our staff have worked tirelessly to ensure continuity, care and connection for all learners. Our learners, in turn, have adapted with remarkable resilience and responsibility. Your flexibility, encouragement and trust have made a significant difference and we are truly grateful for the strength of our partnership. It was also a pleasure connecting with many of you during our recent Community Check-In and we appreciate your ongoing engagement with the school.

As we now enter the spring break, we hope this provides a valuable opportunity for rest, reflection and time with loved ones. On the occasion of Eid, we extend our warmest wishes to all those celebrating. May this special time bring peace to our hearts, strength to our communities and comfort to every family.
Finally, we would also like to express our sincere thanks to the Ministry of Education and the leadership of the Kingdom of Bahrain for their continued guidance, support and commitment to keeping our community safe during this time.
We remain hopeful for a peaceful resolution to the current situation and look forward to welcoming everyone back together soon.
Thank you once again for your continued support.
Warm regards,
James Batts
