WoLF
– Work, Learn, Flourish
‘For the strength of the pack is the wolf and the strength of the wolf is the pack’
Rudyard Kipling – Jungle Book
The Nadeen Wolf has been a mascot for the school for many years. On arriving at this decision, we reflected on both the animal and the characteristics of the wolf.
As animals they naturally work together as a team and researchers have found that they are capable of great affection and care. Wolves are capable of emotion and compassion and embody many of the qualities we want to instil in our learners.
We have taken the mascot and developed our strategy of how we WoLF – Work Learn Flourish at Nadeen. The WoLF approach underpins our learning and teaching, our professional development and how we work and engage together to create community and connection so that all can thrive.

Our Team – Principal’s Welcome
‘Grow together, Thrive as one’
Welcome to Nadeen School, a place where we proudly foster a unique approach to education rooted in creativity, curiosity, and resilience. Here, we embrace our motto, “Grow together, Thrive as one,” as a guiding philosophy that unites us as a community. At Nadeen, we believe that empowering individuals to flourish in an ever-evolving world begins with fostering a love for each other and our learning, an enterprising mindset, and a deep sense of environmental responsibility.
Our commitment to empowering the maverick spirit in every learner means creating a community where exploration is celebrated, diverse perspectives are cherished, and resilience is nurtured. We encourage learners to think critically, embrace challenges, and take thoughtful risks. This empowers them with the skills and self-confidence they need to make meaningful contributions to society, not only through personal achievements but by acting as conscientious stewards of the planet. Environmental awareness is woven into our curriculum, inspiring our learners to understand and address the pressing challenges our world faces and to drive sustainable solutions within their own communities. As we journey together, we remain dedicated to inspiring the next generation of leaders, creators, and change-makers. Thank you for being part of the Nadeen community, where we unlock potential, celebrate individuality, and shape a future where creativity, empathy, and environmental stewardship drive positive change.

Learner Leaders
Learner leadership provides essential skills and experiences that prepare our learners for their future. Taking on these roles helps learners develop key skills and values about how to think, and how to behave. Some of these include collaboration, problem-solving, strategy-planning, perseverance, and resilience, to name a few – all of which are values and attributes at the core of High Performance Learning. These leadership experiences not only build confidence but also equip them with the tools they need to become a High Performance Learner.
At Nadeen School, our learner leaders are essential in promoting a culture of inclusivity and unity. By organising events and initiatives, they encourage participation and collaboration among learners from across the school. This provides many opportunities for learners to connect, collaborate, and celebrate. This engagement not only enriches the school community but also helps learners develop important social skills, such as teamwork, communication, and conflict resolution. As they work to unite their peers, Nadeen School’s Learner Leaders help create a supportive atmosphere that fosters friendships and understanding and where all learners feel valued and included.
There is a wide variety of roles available to our learners across both the Primary and Secondary schools and these include Head Boy and Head Girl, Prefects, Mentors, House Captains, School Council roles, Planet Protectors, and a new opportunity this year that will see a group of learners be formed to drive HPL within our school to work alongside the staff to further embed these practices into the DNA of Nadeen School.
Learning & Curriculum
At Nadeen, we have created a curriculum as unique as our learners! It is bespoke, intentional, and all about igniting curiosity and inspiring growth. Built on the foundation of the National Curriculum for England, the Nadeen Lens takes centre stage, ensuring every lesson is an exciting adventure. Our goal is to shape high-performance learners who embrace a growth mindset and understand our Values, Attitudes, and Attributes – and Advanced Cognitive Performance Characteristics.

Curiosity-Driven
We are all about enquiry-based learning that sparks curiosity about the world. No one leaves with unanswered questions!
Learner-Led Projects
This is where it gets fun! Learners dive into projects that reflect their own interests, collaborating with peers to plan, discover, and create together.
Thematic Learning
Every enquiry is a journey, unlocking innovative ideas and new ways to think, learn, and grow as a team. Together, we explore endless possibilities!
Hands-On, Collaborative
Active learning is the way we learn! Learners work together, explore, create, and share – because learning is better when it’s hands-on and social.
Real-World Impact
Our themes tackle real-world challenges, from global citizenship to sustainability. We want learners who are passionate about the planet and ready to take action for the future!
Skills for the Future
Beyond knowledge, we focus on essential skills like digital literacy, communication, critical thinking, problem-solving, and research – so our learners are ready for whatever comes next.
At Nadeen, we are not just preparing learners for exams, we are preparing them to change the world. With every lesson, they grow into resilient, creative thinkers who are ready to take on life’s big challenges in a rapidly changing world with confidence and passion!
Early Years
Welcome to Early Years at Nadeen, where creativity, curiosity, and hands-on learning come together in a world of discovery and learning is an adventure! Each day unfolds with opportunities for building, painting, exploring loose parts, role-playing, and learning about how we can take care of the world around us.
At Nadeen, we believe in creating a thoughtfully designed environment filled with materials that inspire learner’s thinking and spark their imagination. Our approach supports each learner’s growth, helping them thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Learning here is interactive, meaningful, and most importantly, fun! We want our young learners to understand that they can make a real difference in the world.

Our approach is rooted in the EYFS Early Learning Goals, but it is so much more than that. We focus on developing the whole child – nurturing not just academic skills, but also emotional intelligence, teamwork, and resilience. Our passionate educators are here to guide and inspire, creating an environment where learners can thrive, build confidence, and experience the joy of learning.
We offer a safe, nurturing space where learners can explore their interests, express themselves, and build meaningful connections with their peers. Mistakes are welcomed as part of the learning journey, and challenges are seen as opportunities for growth. In the Early Years at Nadeen, we focus on building confidence, fostering positive attitudes toward learning, and helping learners develop the skills they need to succeed at school and in life.
Every creation is a story, every idea is a spark of innovation, and imagination knows no bounds. Join us in the Early Years at Nadeen, where learning is a joyful adventure!

Primary
At Nadeen School, we believe a young learner’s primary education should be a magical journey filled with excitement, adventure, discovery, and creativity. By learning through enquiry – asking questions, exploring ideas, and challenging assumptions – our learners become independent thinkers who are not just absorbing information, but actively engaging with it.
Our Primary education programme, from Year One (5 years old) to Year Six (11 years old), embraces the National Curriculum for England, providing a robust foundation for academic excellence and fostering critical thinking – skills essential for lifelong success and for understanding that they can make a difference in the world.
We aspire to prepare our learners to be resilient, courageous, and adaptive in an ever-changing world. With a thematic, enquiry-based approach, our curriculum encourages learners to connect concepts across core and foundation subjects, deepening their understanding of the world around them. Through integrated and meaningful learning experiences, we cultivate curiosity, self-confidence, and independence in a nurturing community where every learner feels safe, valued, and respected.
Our educational philosophy centres on High Performance Learning to equip learners to excel not only in academics but also in life. We encourage learners to deepen their thinking and persevere through challenges, develop teamwork skills, and understand how their efforts contribute to broader goals. By promoting the Power of Yet and a Growth Mindset, we guide learners to see challenges as opportunities for growth, building confidence and adaptability along the way.
At Nadeen School, we are committed to helping each learner grow into a capable, confident, and responsible individual. From their earliest years in Primary, our learners are encouraged to embrace challenges, think deeply, and act with integrity. We believe in equipping them with a wide range of skills essential for thriving in a complex, ever-evolving world. Through our values-driven approach, we prepare our learners not only for academic success but also to lead fulfilling lives with purpose, resilience, and confidence, ready to navigate the future with strength and optimism.
Secondary
Welcome to The Nadeen Secondary School
At Nadeen Secondary School, we’re all about sparking curiosity, igniting creativity, and empowering learners to thrive as mavericks in the exciting world of tomorrow. With a dynamic and forward-thinking curriculum, and a warm, inclusive community, we nurture not only brilliant minds but compassionate global citizens ready to make their mark.
Our curriculum is like a passport to a world of learning! In Key Stage 3, we follow the National Curriculum, providing a strong foundation that supports both academic growth and personal development. By the time our learners reach Key Stage 4, they dive into a range of iGCSE courses, each one designed to inspire a passion for learning and seeking new knowledge. It’s not just about textbooks; it’s about fostering critical thinkers who ask questions, solve problems, and collaborate with confidence.

In today’s fast-moving world, critical thinking is more important than ever, and that’s why our curriculum places such a strong emphasis on enquiry-based learning. We encourage learners to question, explore, and analyse information so they can form their own ideas. By developing these skills, they’ll be equipped to make informed decisions, create innovative solutions, and tackle the challenges of the future with enthusiasm and intelligence.
As an HPL (High Performance Learning) school, we’re committed to helping every learner reach their full potential. With a focus on excellence, resilience, and a growth mindset, we inspire learners to embrace challenges, rise to the occasion, and always strive to do their best. We believe that academic success goes hand in hand with developing the character and mindset needed to thrive in a constantly changing world.
At Nadeen, we place the emotional well-being of our learners at the heart of everything we do, creating a caring, nurturing environment where every learner feels valued and supported. Our dedicated team work closely with each individual, ensuring their unique needs are met, and fostering a strong sense of belonging.
Together, we’re not just shaping the future; we’re building it, one brilliant learner at a time!
Inclusion & Thrive Achievement Centre
We believe in the power of neurodiversity, and we’re driven by the belief that every learner has the capacity to thrive. That’s why we have created a culture where inclusion is not just a concept; it is at the very heart of everything we do. We’ve established intentional practices and personalised guidelines that address the diverse cognitive and emotional needs of all our learners, ensuring everyone belongs.
At Nadeen, we adopt a strength-based approach to inclusion – focusing on what our learners can do and using those strengths as the foundation for overcoming challenges. Through tailored environments, customised plans, and intervention programmes designed to nurture every learner’s unique ability, we set them up for success.

Our Thrive Centre is where the magic happens. This specially designed space is dedicated to creating provision to meet more specific and complex needs. Here, we focus on three critical areas: social communication, emotional regulation, and learning engagement. Our highly skilled Thrive team crafts experiences that are not only individualised but also inspiring – drawing on learners’ passions and interests, combining play with hands-on, experiential learning to spark excitement and growth.
In Thrive, we ignite motivation. We unlock the potential in each learner, helping them flourish in their own remarkable way. At Nadeen, we believe that when learners are truly supported and valued, they can reach heights they never imagined – and beyond!
Our new campus is not just a new building. It is an opportunity. An opportunity to welcome bold and brave thinkers into their growth years. An opportunity – a fresh canvas – to innovate, ignite passions, and to provide our learners with a learning experience that celebrates and excites them. An opportunity to create a school community that is in service to others, beyond our campus walls.
Comprising three floors, our Early Years and Primary classrooms are clustered in groups of eight – four per year group – across the ground and first floor. Each phase within the school has its own collaboration area as well as direct access to the outside area or outdoor learning terraces. Our Secondary learners have their classrooms and collaboration spaces on the second floor, with expansive views over the campus, Dilmunia Island, and beyond. Our specialist rooms include science laboratories, makerspace rooms, music and performance spaces, libraries, art and design studios, and technology hubs, all designed to enhance our learners’ experience and to broaden their opportunities.
Outside areas:
Encouraging connection with nature and positive relationships towards the environment, wildlife, and habitats was central to our playground and recreation spaces design. This means that we had to design a space where not only humans but animals would be welcomed, too. Our bird houses, bug hotels, and watering holes encourage wildlife into our school.
To complement our approach to living a more sustainable and environmentally aware life we also considered our landscaping, plants, and trees. Our trees are all flowering (good for the bees), fruit (good for the body) or medicinal (good for health). Our river provides an opportunity for contemplation. Our gardening areas invite our learners to plant and grow their own fruits, vegetables, and herbs.
Our playground equipment is hand-crafted from sustainable wood, each piece unique. Each piece was also specifically chosen to entice children to want to move naturally: to climb, swing, jump, crawl, balance, and lace their bodies through and under and over. This in turn will develop their physical literacy: their upper, core, and lower body strength; their balance and coordination; their gross motor skills and their coordination. Alongside this their social, psychological, and cognitive skills will develop as they play, interact, and collaborate with others.
Our recreation areas – football area, running track, and games court – encourage our learners and community to be active beyond the end of the school day. Hosting evening picnics for the community is a highlight of the term and really brings our Dilmunia and the wider community together.

Enrichment
At our school, education extends beyond the classroom, and our diverse range of extra-curricular activities reflects this philosophy. Learners can explore their passions and develop new skills through clubs, sports, and the arts. From drama and music to robotics and environmental clubs, these activities provide a platform for creativity, teamwork, and personal growth. By participating in extra-curricular activities, learners can discover their interests and talents, fostering a sense of belonging and community within our school.
Engaging in extra-curricular activities plays a crucial role in a learner’s overall development and links in well with our High Performance Learning ACPs and VAAs. These activities not only enhance academic learning but also promote essential life skills such as leadership, time management, and resilience. Learners who participate in sports or clubs learn to work collaboratively with others, set goals, and overcome challenges, all of which are invaluable in both personal and professional contexts. Moreover, these activities offer opportunities for learners to connect with peers who share similar interests, helping to build lasting friendships and a supportive network.
In addition to personal growth, extra-curricular activities contribute significantly to a vibrant school culture. They encourage school spirit and pride, fostering a sense of unity among learners, staff, and families. Events such as competitions, performances, and exhibitions provide a platform for showcasing talents and achievements, enhancing school visibility and community engagement. By actively participating in these programs, learners not only enrich their own educational experience but also help to create a dynamic and inclusive environment where everyone can thrive.
Community
At Nadeen School, we believe a strong community is the foundation for a thriving learning environment, our school is our family. Our community initiatives focus on the holistic development of our learners, their families, and the wider school community through personal wellbeing, social responsibility, and environmental stewardship.
Our commitment to personal wellbeing is reflected in our focus on mental health, mindfulness, and self-awareness practices that support learners, staff, and families alike. We provide resources and activities centred on emotional resilience and mental health awareness, helping everyone to thrive and manage life’s challenges. Through regular mindfulness sessions, workshops, and personal development opportunities, we create a nurturing environment where individuals feel valued, supported, and empowered to prioritise their wellbeing.

Our sense of community extends beyond the school gates. Nadeen School engages actively in social responsibility initiatives, from charity partnerships to our Parents and Teachers Association (PTA) and alumni network. Through charity drives and volunteer opportunities, we encourage our learners and families to give back to those in need, instilling values of empathy and kindness. Our PTA fosters a vibrant, supportive network for parents and staff, contributing to school activities and fundraising. We also stay connected with our alumni, celebrating their achievements and maintaining lifelong ties that keep them part of the Nadeen family.

Caring for our environment is a priority at Nadeen School. Our environmental programmes teach learners the importance of sustainability and respect for our planet. From recycling initiatives and eco-friendly school projects to integrating environmental education in the curriculum, we are dedicated to fostering a generation of responsible, eco-conscious citizens. We believe that by nurturing this respect for nature, our learners will carry forward practices that contribute to a sustainable future.
